Breathography WALKING 2.0! In this walking workout, I guide you through a walking workout, in which we add Level 2 Breathography, which includes a 2 Beat Breath Retention at the conclusion of our 8 Second Engaged Exhale. Research has supported that using Breathography in conjunction with functional movement encourages greater fat loss, resting metabolic rate, and strength gain....why not make your workouts more effective and efficient and calm your nervous system both during and after your workout. The walking workout is a great method of reducing impact on the body and adding Breathography with your walking routine will give you a bigger bang for your buck by strengthening your core, respiration, and nervous system, while increasing blood flow to your brain and muscles [your body's carbon dioxide levels WILL increase lightly, which causes this reaction to take place...I have tested this with my CAPNOTRAINER both on myself and clients!]
For those of you who enjoyed Level 1.0 Walking Workout [and please check out the Level 1 Walking Workout if you have not adapted to that one yet] I present to you the SEQUEL, adding 2 Beat Breath Retentions at the conclusion of the 8 Second Engaged Exhale. Nasal Breathe as a recovery in between your cycles.
Research has also supported that slow breathing with functional movement improves motor control [Yadav, 2016]. Therefore, you will have heightened focus while walking AND be less likely to get injured, keeping you're more frequent with your walking routine. Frequency always trumps intensity in terms of longterm results of strength, body composition, and learning.
