WALKING WORKOUT LEVEL 1 BREATHOGRAPHY
23m
Guess what?
Walking COUNTS not only as movement, but also as a workout, ESPECIALLY when you combine it with conscious, controlled breathing and some tactile feedback using a ribbon around your waist: the Ab-Ribbon! A combination of the research supported Breathography technique and Ab-Ribbon will turn your walking workout into a spectacular core, nervous system, and respiratory strengthening workout.
This walking workout teaches you Breathography and guides you through your Breath Cycles as you follow the metronome of this Nootromusic track, composed by Gabe Churray.
Enjoy your Level 1 Breathography walking routine and look for the Level 2 Walking Breathography Routine, adding in a 2 Beat Breath Retention, coming soon!
Why control your breathing with an extended exhale while walking?
1. Increased respiration strength: studies have shown that controlling your breathing, inclusive of a forced exhale, will increase your FEV, which is a score that correlates with health and longevity.
2. Increased core strength: both the focus on filling and loosening the Ab-Ribbon over the course of this walk enhances core strength, especially the deep abdominals that help to stabilize the lower back and prevent lower back pain.
3. Increased blood flow: Breathography breathing pattern increases CO2 to a healthy level that increases blood flow to your working muscles and brain!
4. Balanced nervous system: the SLOW exhale of the Engaged Exhale increases activity of the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps with a feeling of calm and focus both during and after your workout.
ENJOY your core strengthening WALK!
